Dads of the world! Where you at?
We’ll tell you where they’re at!
They’re out there in the world, making it a better place for their sons and daughters.
Working. Hustling. Teaching the next generation how to ride bikes and throw decent right hooks.
Basically, dads are busy trying to hold it all down.
Your dad may not be an actual king. But that doesn’t mean he shouldn’t be treated like one.
And Father’s Day is the perfect day to do it.
How’d We End Up With Father’s Day?
In 1908, a church in West Virginia sponsored the country’s first event honoring fathers – it was a sermon that was given in memory of nearly 400 men who died in a coal mine explosion in the town of Monongah. But it was a one-time event.
In 1909, Sonora Smart Dodd of Spokane, Washington tried to establish an official Father’s Day by visiting churches, the YMCA, store owners, and members of the government, urging them all to support the idea.
This was a subject that hit home for Sonora Smart Dodd, as she was one of six children who had been raised by a widower.
On June 19, 1910, Washington State celebrated the nation’s first statewide Father’s Day, and in 1924, President Calvin Coolidge urged other state governments to observe the day.
When World War II started, advertisers pushed to get Father’s Day more universally recognized, claiming that it was a way to honor American soldiers and support the war. By the time the war ended, Father’s Day still wasn’t a federal holiday, but it had become a national institution.
Finally, in 1972, right in the middle of his re-election campaign, President Richard Nixon signed a proclamation that made Father’s Day a federal holiday.
Dads and Cannabis
It’s a stereotype that dads like a cold beer after a long, hard day at work.
But there are plenty of dads out there who would much rather end the night with a few hits from their favorite pre-roll.
If this describes the dad in your life, whether it’s your actual dad or your husband/partner, this post is for you.
Get your dad something special on Father’s Day.
Something with cannabis in it.
Need help coming up with ideas? Not to worry.
Here are the 10 best Father’s Day gifts for dads who love cannabis!
Does your dad enjoy the simple things in life?
Pre-rolls are as simple as they come. As far as strains go, we highly recommend these:
- Tahoe Alien (DGF)
- Banana Treez (Cannabiotix)
- Stay (Dogwalkers Pre-rolls)
2. Glass Pipes
If pre-rolls are the simplest way to smoke cannabis, a glass pipe is a close second.
They’re versatile, easy to transport, and if you have the right-looking pipe, it’s hard not to feel distinguished when you use it.
3. Disposable Vape Pens
But honestly? The simplest way to consume cannabis is with a disposable vape pen.
No rolling papers. No lighter. No additional battery that’s gotta be charged.
You don’t even have to press a button to get it going. You just inhale and wait for the magic to happen.
4. BaskiN Extended Transdermal Sports Cream
If Dad hits the gym, that might mean that his muscles are getting hit pretty hard as well.
CBD gets a lot of praise for its anti-pain and anti-inflammation properties. If your dad doesn’t know about the benefits of CBD, now is the perfect time to educate him.
Hook him up with BaskiN Extended Transdermal Sports Cream. It contains 300 mg of CBD, it’s THC-free, and it’s great for both pre-workout and post-workout use!
5. Cheeba Chew Hybrids (Deep Roots)
Imagine a cannabis-infused Tootsie Roll, and you basically have the Cheeba Chew Hybrid.
10 servings at 8.9 mg of THC per dose will have Dad fully stretched out on the couch, relaxed, blissed out, and enjoying life.
6. Intimate Massage Body Oil (Evergreen Organix)
We all have days where we feel like we’re carrying the weight of the world on our shoulders.
If the man in your life is feeling down, out, and stressed, a massage just might do the trick.
Help ease his suffering with some Evergreen Organix Intimate Massage Body Oil. And just so you know, the massage oil can be used as a sensual lubricant, so you’re getting TWO gifts for the price of one!
7. Goldleaf Cannabis Journal
Maybe your dad is a medical cannabis patient who wants to experiment with different strains.
Or maybe he’s a recreational user with aspirations of becoming a true cannabis connoisseur.
Help your dad embark on a journey of enhanced cannabis knowledge by hooking him up with a Goldleaf Cannabis Journal. It comes in two types:
The Goldleaf Medical Cannabis Journal – This can be used as a logbook for your dad’s medical cannabis therapy, helping him track his responses to different cannabis strains. It comes with guided entry pages, cannabinoid and terpene infographics, and strain recommendations based on illness.
The Goldleaf Cannabis Taster Journal – This is a pocket-sized journal and logbook, developed in part by budtenders and industry specialists, for aspiring cannabis connoisseurs. It can be used to keep track of cannabis taste-and-effect experiences. It comes with guided entry pages, flavor and terpene infographics, a section to note and rank dispensaries and more!
8. The Cannador
We’ve talked in the past about the necessity of good cannabis storage. After all, everyone likes having fresh, potent nugs, including your pops.
But if you’re looking to take things to the next level for Dad so that he can transcend the need for Mason jars, look no further than the Cannador.
This is a uniquely designed cannabis storage box for both short- and long-term shortage. It preserves you dad’s cannabis by controlling the humidity level in the box at the perfect ratio for maximum freshness and taste.
It’s got a soft mahogany interior, ideal for controlling humidity without creating residual odors or oils. And it’s also resistant to swelling and shrinking in response to humidity.
The Cannador comes in two different sizes, starting with a 2-strain holder and going up to a 6-strain holder. Depending on how many strains your dad has on tap, you can choose the size that best fits him.
9. The Nuggy
Some dads are constantly looking for the perfect tool to make their work projects easier.
Newer. Faster. Shinier. More bells and whistles.
So let’s talk about The Nuggy.
The Nuggy is an all-in-one tool, a “Swiss Army knife” specifically designed for cannabis users.
Dad will no longer need to search around for random, makeshift tools to help him cut up cannabis, clean pipes, and apply dabs.
The Nuggy Hybrid contains six tools (all made with stainless steel), features a heat-resistant aluminum oxide shell, and can fit in the palm of your hand or pocket. The tools include:
- Roach clip
Plus, the Nuggy comes in a white gift box, so it’ll look extra special for your dad when he unwraps it.
10. The Phoenician Grinder
The grinder is perhaps the most essential tool for cannabis smokers. A good grinder can make the difference between a great smoking experience and a mediocre one.
Does Dad deserve mediocre? No. He doesn’t.
What he deserves is something like The Phoenician Grinder.
These 4-chambered grinders have a lobe-style exterior, making it easier to grip and grind flower. The teeth are specifically positioned to allow the user to place flower within the chamber without forcing you to squish the flower down with the lid.
The teeth are also positioned to perform a shearing /cutting motion similar to scissors. This creates the optimum consistence of ground flower.
The filtering section is made with a thick stainless steel screen, and the bottom section of the grinder — designed to catch the filtered flower — is shaped like a bowl to make it easier to remove the flower.
The Phoenician Grinder is an elegant solution to common cannabis grinding problems. And your dad will love it.
