Here’s our Las Vegas visitors guide to recreational cannabis.

It’s pretty steep: $600!

No. Casinos are regulated in part by the federal government and cannabis is still illegal under federal law.
Can I Consume Cannabis in a Hotel?
No, hotels don’t allow you to consume cannabis on their property.
However, if you’re looking for cannabis-friendly room accommodations, visit The Travel Joint.
Can You Recommend Some Fun Things to Do While I’m in Las Vegas?
Of course!
We actually wrote a post on things to do in Las Vegas while celebrating 4/20, but you can do most of the activities listed on it year-round.
You can also:
- Check out our downtown arts festival First Friday Las Vegas (first Friday of the month)
- Take a stroll down the Las Vegas Freemont Street Experience
- Get tickets to any one of Vegas’s mind-blowing Cirque Du Soleil shows
- Go hiking in Red Rock Canyon (go early in the morning for this one in order to avoid the heat)
Can I Take Cannabis Back Home With Me?
Sorry, but you can’t.
We know how frustrating that might be for some of you, especially for visitors who are traveling directly from cannabis-legal states like California.
But the law is the law, and federal law states that cannabis can’t be transported across state lines.
You can’t bring cannabis here, and you can’t take it back home with you. In this case, what happens in Vegas really needs to stay in Vegas!
