6 Celebrities Who Support Medical Cannabis Use
93 percent of Americans support the legalization of medical cannabis.
So there’s a good chance that some of your favorite celebrities are also pro-legalization.
Here are six celebrities that we know of who support the legal use of medical cannabis!
1. Snoop Dogg
Well…obviously! Saying that Snoop Dogg supports medical cannabis is kinda like saying water is wet.
But Snoop’s devotion to Mary Jane isn’t just limited to the realm of personal use. He also has his own line of cannabis products called Leafs by Snoop!
2. Martha Stewart
Speaking of Snoop Dogg, did you know that he and Martha Stewart have a cooking show together?
It’s called “Martha and Snoop’s Potluck Dinner Party,” and it was nominated for an Emmy back in 2017.
And although Stewart doesn’t share Snoop’s smoking habits, she’s totally fine with the fact that he consumes cannabis.
In her words:
“So someone smokes marijuana? Big deal! People smoke cigarettes and die from cancer. I haven’t heard of anybody dying from cannabis. I’m quite egalitarian and liberal when it comes to stuff like that.”
3. Lady Gaga
Lady Gaga is as eccentric a performer as they come, but when it comes to cannabis, her reasons for using it are pretty straightforward and rational – it helps her deal with anxiety as well as boosts her creativity.
Gaga has admitted that she did develop a dependency on cannabis at one point in her life and was smoking between 15-20 joints a day.
However, she’s cut back a lot since those “heavy smoking” days but is still a regular user.
4. Rihanna
Rihanna was actually banned from a Barbados hotel for smoking cannabis!
In addition to posting Instagram photos of blunts and marijuana-related gifts she’s received from friends, there was also rumor circulating that she would be starting her own line of cannabis products called “MaRihanna!”
Sadly, “MaRihanna” was just that: a rumor.
But hopefully, she’ll reconsider. A brand name like that is way too good to pass up.
5. John Legend
Singer John Legend has referred to himself as a “proud member” of the “Legalize It” community.
He’s argued that the War on Drugs doesn’t just fail to deter people from getting access to cannabis, but that it has also devastated communities (particularly low-income and black communities) and has become one of the main drivers behind America’s mass incarceration epidemic.
In other words, the sooner we legalize cannabis, the better it will be for everyone.
6. Seth Rogen
He’s the star of the much-beloved stoner comedies “Knocked Up” and “Pineapple Express,” so it’s no surprise he’s a cannabis lover himself.
Rogen has talked about the celebrities he’s smoked with in the past, showed the world his blunt-rolling skills, and one time even invited his fans to smoke with him at a screening of his movie The Interview.

Despite the fact that medical cannabis is widely popular, there’s still a stigma surrounding it. So we’re grateful for all the celebrities who’ve come out thus far and declared their pro-legalization stance.
At the end of the day, they serve as an example to the public that, yes, you can be successful and consume cannabis at the same time.
