Got your Black Friday battle armor yet?
Ha ha. Sounds like we’re joking, right?
Naw. We’ve seen enough videos of Black Friday shoppers beating each other senseless over flat-screens and LEGO kits. Better to have the armor and not need it than to need it and not have it.
But if armor isn’t your thing, and you’d rather have a stress-free holiday shopping season while still getting some major discounts, follow these five tips for surviving Black Friday in Las Vegas!
1. You Don’t Have to Do all Your Shopping on Friday
We make a big deal out of being at these stores on the actual day of Black Friday, but the truth is these stores usually offer massive sales all throughout Thanksgiving week and into the weekend.
You’ve also got Small Business Saturday and then Cyber Monday, which doesn’t even require you to leave your house. So relax a bit and plan your shopping accordingly.
2. Make a Shopping List
Don’t show up at the store with no idea what to buy. That’s a recipe for disaster. You could wind up spending hours wandering around looking for the perfect gift.
Make a list of everyone you’re shopping for and what you’re going to get them beforehand. You can do all the product research you need to online before going to the store.
Think of your shopping trip as a mission: get in, get what you need, and get out. You’re more likely to avoid major stress that way.
3. If You’re Going Shopping on the Strip, Be Prepared for Armageddon
Who doesn’t love shopping on the Vegas Strip? But be warned: on Black Friday, it’s likely to be a madhouse down there from morning to night.
If you’re buying in bulk, you may want to check out the regular retail stores or either of the two Las Vegas Premium Outlets where you’ll see huge discounted prices.
But if you’re looking for something fancy or you want to visit our Strip location, come on down! Just remember to bring some water, a snack, and be ready to capture the craziness on your smartphone camera!
4. Follow Your Favorite Stores on Social Media
Retail stores will often announce their deals and discounts on social media. Keep an eye on their Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram pages so you can stay on top of their latest offerings.
And speaking of holiday sales…
