November Cannabis Products of the Month
1.- Cannabiotix: Stir Fry Flower (Hybrid)
Name: Stir Fry
Type: Flower (Hybrid)
THC Ranges: 24% to 26%
If you’re looking to try a new strain of flower, we highly recommend Cannabitoix’s Stir Fry (grown locally at Cannabiotix Nevada). This hybrid strain is a cross between two other strains: GMO and Orange Cookies. Stir Fry’s most dominant terpenes are caryophyllene, myrcene, and limonene, which gives this delightfully aromatic strain notes of pepper, cloves, mango, and lemon. Cannabis users who have tried Stir Fry say that this hybrid strain is relaxing and includes a euphoric or happy feeling, which makes this balanced strain a great option if you’re looking to kick back, relax, and enjoy a little cannabis-induced bliss.

Cannabiotix, founded by two expert cultivators, is focused on developing and cultivating the most elite genetics in the marijuana industry. The expert innovators at Cannabiotix produce their award-winning, PGR-free strains using natural and sustainable farming techniques while also implementing the latest methods in science and technology.
2.- Polaris: Ice Cream Cake Cartridge
Name: Ice Cream Cake
Total THC Concentration: 82.747%
Polaris’s Ice Cream Cake cartridge is one of our new favorite vaping products. This delectable cartridge’s most dominant terpenes are myrcene, linalool, and caryophyllene, which gives each puff of the cartridge notes of hops, lavender, and cinnamon. The name of this cartridge really says it all when it comes to its flavor, which will bring back fond memories of celebrating those special occasions with a slice of sweet, cool ice cream cake.
While we, of course, love the incredible flavor and aroma of Polaris’s Ice Cream Cake cartridge, we also love its top-tier quality. Polaris makes their vaping products with their own distillate/oil that’s extracted from Polaris flower using CO2 extraction and also gives each cartridge a boost of terpenes from Polaris flower. Polaris vaping carts never contain any cutting agents other than Polaris’s cannabis terpenes and their vaping cartridges are CCELL carts, which are known for their superior quality and reliability.

3.- Encore: Mints
Brand: Encore Company
Name: Encore Mints in Green Tea, Wildberry, Tangerine, and Wintermint
Type: Edible (All Flavors are Gluten-Free, Vegan, and Non-GMO)
Encore’s cannabis-infused mints are the perfect way to get your daily dose of cannabis, whether you pop a mint to start your day, go for an afternoon pick me up, or use mint to add some relaxation to your evening. We love Encore Mints because they have a consistent dosage, they’re incredibly convenient, and they come in several different delicious varieties.
Encore’s Green Tea, Wildberry, and Wintermint flavors all contain 5mg of THC from pure cannabis oil derived from a hybrid cannabis strain. Users report that these flavors provide calm, energetic, happy, and relaxing effects. Pick your favorite flavor and enjoy the balanced effect of a hybrid strain however you like. Then, Encore’s tangerine mints are a high CBD edible, which users say provide a calm, happy, and relaxing effect, so these citrusy mints are perfect for when you want to add a bit more chill to your day.
Encore recommends taking their mints sublingually (which means you should dissolve them under your tongue). Taking this cannabis edible sublingually allows them to have a quicker onset time than most edibles, so you can enjoy the relaxing effect of cannabis more quickly. These mints start to take effect around 30 to 60 minutes after use and have a duration time of around 4 to 8 hours.
About Encore Company: Encore Company is a culinary branch of Verano, a leading cultivator, and provider of best-in-class cannabis products to dispensaries across Nevada, Illinois, and Maryland. Encore Company creates handcrafted artisanal cannabis edibles that are designed to be inspiring and distinctive. Their edibles are always non-GMO and pesticide-free, and they’re lab-tested to ensure potency and purity. Alongside their mints, Encore also produces delicious treats like cannabis vegan gummies, cannabis granola bars, and cannabis hard candies.

Cannabis Education for November: The History of the Cannabis Thanksgiving
For this month’s cannabis education, we wanted to talk a bit about cannabis and Thanksgiving. Thanks to the ever-spreading legalization of recreational marijuana and medical marijuana use, it’s becoming more common for people to turn their Thanksgiving into Danksgiving by adding a bit of ganja to their favorite Thanksgiving recipes. But as we all know, while the legality of cannabis may be new to certain US states, cannabis itself is an ancient plant. We have historical records of hemp cloth dating all the way back to 8,000 BC and we know that early US settlers also grew hemp plants. So is a cannabis Thanksgiving a new trend? Or was it perhaps present at the First Thanksgiving?
There are a lot of myths out there about the First Thanksgiving and cannabis, as well as myths about our founding fathers using hemp. It’s been written that both Thomas Jefferson and George Washington smoked hemp recreationally, as well as that the constitution was drafted on hemp paper. But while these myths make for great stories, most US historians say that they’re just that: stories. There’s no evidence that the constitution is made of hemp paper nor that our founding fathers smoked hemp. Both Thomas Jefferson and George Washington definitely did grow hemp, but we have no evidence that they smoked it (they probably just used it to make clothing). There’s also no evidence that smoking hemp was common back in the early days of the United States. Smoking tobacco was definitely common, but we don’t have any evidence that smoking industrial hemp was as well. So, though it’s commonly rumored that there was cannabis at the First Thanksgiving, this is probably untrue. If any cannabis was present at the First Thanksgiving, it was probably just in hemp fibers in people’s clothing.
Though the puritanical Pilgrims probably didn’t smoke cannabis at the First Thanksgiving in Plymouth, Massachusetts, this certainly doesn’t mean you can’t at your modern Thanksgiving! Having a Green Thanksgiving is a fun new tradition that can make your Thanksgiving dinner even more memorable and relaxing.
If you want to learn how you can amp up your Thanksgiving meal with cannabis, be sure to check out our recent blog post: Your Guide to the Ultimate Cannabis-Infused Thanksgiving. Both of the flower strains we recommended in our November Products of the Month are excellent, highly flavorful options you can use in the cannabutter recipe we shared in our Cannabis Thanksgiving Guide. If you’re looking to add a specific flavor to your butter for your recipes (and don’t think the ones recommended here are the right fit), remember that you can always stop by an Essence marijuana dispensary location to ask one of our in-store experts for a personalized recommendation.
