Can I Become a Cultivator?

Nevada allows cannabis cultivation for both commercial and personal use.

According to Nevada law, you can grow 12 plants for medical use or 6 plants for recreational use IF you live more than 25 miles from a dispensary.

If you live in Clark County, however, you’re basically disqualified from growing cannabis for personal use because there are so many dispensaries nearby.

How Does Someone Become a Commercial Cultivator?

In order to grow commercial cannabis in Nevada, you have to apply for a license from the state’s Department of Taxation.

A license allows you to grow, process, and package cannabis; submit your cannabis for quality control testing at a lab; and sell cannabis to a retail dispensary, a cannabis manufacturing facility, or another cultivator.

However, cultivators cannot sell directly to consumers. Only dispensaries can do that.

Cannabis Manufacturers

While the word “cultivator,” specifically refers to cannabis growers, some of the cultivators we partner with are also manufacturers.

Cannabis manufacturing refers to the making of cannabis products such as vape oils, concentrates, edibles, topicals, and tinctures.
