Here are the 6 best Las Vegas cannabis products for May 2019!
1. Wedding Pie #6 (by Tahoe Hydro Co.)
Tahoe Hydroponics Company – Tahoe Hydro Co. for short — is an award-winning cannabis cultivation company based in Carson City, Nevada.
They’re owned and operated by two families that have been growing premium cannabis for generations. In other words, they know their stuff.
And it shows. In 2016, they swept the Jack Herer Cup and took home the 1st Place Prize for the Best Sativa, Best Indica, and Best Hybrid flower.
They’ve won the Jack Herer Cup a total of six times. The reason? According to them, it’s because of the care and attention given to each harvest.
They use only the finest raw ingredients along with purified water to create a very limited production that’s hand-picked, cured, and trimmed to enhance each strain’s special characteristics.
In fact, each batch of their cannabis has to pass over 550 quality control checks before it’s packaged and sealed. That’s a lot of checks!
But we’re not complaining, especially if that means that you, the customer, get the best quality strain possible.
So let’s talk about their strain Wedding Pie #6
About Wedding Pie #6
Wedding Pie #6 has a pungent, earthy smell, with notes of lemon. Very pleasing to the nose.
The effects are exceptional; it takes you on a smooth, mellow ride that totally relaxes your mind. The effects are felt primarily in the head, but your body will get a slight wash of relaxation as well.
But although this strain acts as a sedative, it makes for a good aphrodisiac as well.
So if you and your partner are looking to spice up your nocturnal activities, it may be time to plan a Wedding Pie #6 tryst.
2. CBD Focus Elixir (by Canna Hemp)
Canna Hemp’s line of CBD products are made from hemp seed oil that’s legally cultivated in the U.S., and their products are legal in all 50 states.
Canna Hemp makes body lotions, lip balms, pain relief creams, dabs, and vape cartridges. But the product we’ll be focusing on this month is their Focus Elixir.
Also worth noting is their proprietary blend of terpenes –TerpFx– that they infuse into their products.
These terpenes are used to help promote sleep, focus, euphoria, relaxation, and pain relief. Combined with CBD and THC, terpenes help create “the entourage effect,” a term that refers to the synergistic relationship between cannabinoids and terpenes that allows users to experience a much fuller spectrum of benefits.
The TerpFx terpenes are nanoparticulated, which is a fancy term that means their particles are microscopic and can be absorbed on the cellular level.
About the Focus Elixir
The first thing you notice when consuming the oil is a strong but pleasant grapefruit-y taste due to the presence of the terpene limonene.
Relaxation sets in almost immediately, which is good if your mind is racing and you’re having difficulty concentrating.
While this elixir might calm you down, it won’t sedate you. Rather, it delivers a focused calm that empowers you to do whatever it is that needs doing.
According to the directions on the bottle, one full dropper equals one dose and delivers approximately 26 mg of CBD.
There are 30 doses total, and the elixir also contains MCT oil as well as the terpenes limonene, myrcene, and terpinene
But you may be able to get the desired effects by using less than the recommended dose.
If you’re just starting out with the elixir, experiment with using a quarter of the dropper and see how you feel. You can always work your way up from there if necessary.
For the fastest results, apply the oil under your tongue and hold it there so that the CBD can be absorbed sublingually.
The Focus Elixir can also be used as a topical for your skin.
3. Wild Cherry CBD-THC 1:1 Gummies (by Mindy’s Kitchen)
Award-winning chef Mindy Segal is the creative mind behind Cresco Labs’ brand of edibles (Cresco Labs is a Chicago-based medical and adult-use cannabis company with a presence in multiple states.)
Chef Mindy and Cresco Labs joined forces to create Mindy’s Kitchen – a line of edibles that originated from the menu of Mindy’s Chicago restaurant Hot Chocolate and her best-selling cookbook Cookie Love.
Each of her desserts is infused with a cannabis distillate that contains little-to-no cannabis taste, allowing the edible’s quality ingredients to take center stage.
About the Wild Cherry CBD-THC 1:1 Gummies
Each package has 10 square gummies; 10 mg of THC and CBD per gummy.
When they claim that there’s “little-to-no cannabis” taste, they aren’t joking. There’s hardly a whiff or taste of cannabis; you’re mostly getting just a sweet, tangy, cherry flavor.
The effects are both invigorating and calming. You can get a lot of benefit from these gummies by using them during the daytime, whether you’re trying to have fun, improve your focus and concentration, or using them to treat depression and anxiety.
4. GG #4 Vape Cartridge and Battery (by Select Elite)
Select has an impressive range of products, ranging from hemp-based CBD disposable pens to 1:1 THC-CBD tinctures to the Select Elite Vape Cartridge, which we’ll be focusing on this month.
The Select Elite cartridges contain distillate oil which has epic levels of THC, ranging between 75% – 95%. Expect some potent effects!
While the vape cartridge is compatible with most 510 thread batteries, they recommend using their own Select brand of battery for optimal effects.
Here’s a run-down of the battery’s features:
- Single-button battery that comes with a partial charge; a fully charged battery allows 600 draws, approximately
- To turn on the battery: 5 clicks
- To cycle through the three voltage settings (2.1 v, 2.7 v, and 3.5 v): 3 clicks.
- To preheat oil: 2 clicks; 1 click to cancel)
- To use the pen, hold down the button and inhale. Be careful with the 3.5 v setting, as the oil can get pretty hot and burn if you hold it for too long.
About the GG #4 Cartridge
GG #4, also known as “Original Glue,” is a heavy-hitting hybrid that delivers powerful head and body euphoria. The name “Glue” is apt here; take a large enough dose and you’ll be stuck right where you are — hopefully on a comfortable couch.
This strain took home the 1st Place Prize at both the Michigan and Los Angeles 2014 Cannabis Cup and the High Times Jamaican World Cup.
And for good reason.
GG #4 is a show-stopper. It totally blasts you into a world of no worries. The things that seemed to matter a few minutes before you took the dose don’t seem to matter so much now. Nothing matters except this current moment in time, and the pleasant sensation of GG #4 coursing through your body.
You’re not going to feel like doing anything too body or mind-intensive, but if you don’t overdo the dose, you can still watch movies, play video games, or be creative.
GG #4 could be ideal for people struggling with creative blocks who need to stop overthinking things. But it’s also good for doing literally nothing at all except laying on your back and letting yourself be carried away to the heights of euphoria.
5. GG OG Diamonds (by Denver Dab Co.)
Denver Dab Co. specializes in making some of the cleanest, highest quality cannabis concentrates on the market.
They use hydrocarbons — n-butane and n-propane — to extract hash oil from their cannabis flower, and then they purge the hydrocarbons from the oil via a triple-distillation process.
They offer several different types of concentrates such as shatter, wax, and live and cured resin. But the product we’ll be looking at in this post is their GG OG Diamonds
According to Denver Dab Co., their terp diamonds are the most fragrant and potent of all their concentrates. Created from freshly frozen cannabis, the diamond is really two products: isolated THCA (tetrahydrocannabinolic acid, the precursor to THC) which comes in the form of large diamond-like crystals, and then a high terpene fraction which is drizzled over the crystals.
The result? A powerful concentrate with powerful flavor.
About the GG OG Diamonds
True to its name, the product looks very much like diamonds.
And we’ll be honest: the process of breaking the diamond up into pieces small enough to use is pretty satisfying. Who knew cutting diamonds was so much fun?
As for the effects, if you don’t go in too hard on GG OG and take a light to medium-sized dose, it actually feels like a sativa-dominant hybrid. You’ll feel a burst of cool confidence that’s both uplifting and relaxing.
Gotta a new business enterprise you want to work on? Creative project? Plans for world domination? GG OG will help you get things cracking.
6. Pure THC Blue Agave Tincture (by City Trees)
City Trees, founded in 2017, is a Southern Nevada cannabis cultivation, production, and distribution company. They’re committed to quality, sustainability, and a genuine desire to “bridge the gap between the city and the trees.”
About the Pure THC Blue Agave Tincture
The Pure THC Blue Agave Tincture is in a class all its own.
It’s made from blue agave nectar, a honey-like sap that comes from the blue agave plant grown in Mexico.
Each bottle contains 60 ml of the nectar, and 1 ml equals a single dose of 12.5 mg of THC. But the dropper has different measurements marked off on it, so you can reduce the dose if needed.
Typically, when we think of tinctures, we think of the alcohol-based tinctures that are very liquidy and are easily applied under your tongue.
But the Blue Agave Tincture isn’t like most tinctures.
Its consistency is thicker than most, which might throw you off if you’re trying to put it under your tongue. Which, to be honest, is not the way we’d recommend consuming this tincture unless you’re in a rush and want quick effects.
Due to its smooth, sweet taste and thicker consistency, it functions well as a topping on fruit salads, oatmeals, pancakes, or ice cream. And you can use it to replace sugar when making baked goods.
It’s also completely water soluble, so you can add it to beverages, which is a major plus! You can turn water, coffee, smoothies, or any kind of drink you can imagine into a cannabis-infused beverage with just a few drops!
